My mom made this using her grandmothers method. She ate this as a child for aching eyes.
You need:
4 whole dry coconuts
20 black peppercorns
4 tbsp sugar
Fullers earth or fine clay soaked in water
A gas tandoor or oven.
Method:
Make a hole in coconut and put in 5 peppercorns in it. Cover it with a cotton cloth and put clay paste all around it.
Once all are wrapped let them sit for 15 mts and then put them on gas tandoor on low flame for about 20 mts.
The coconuts will be warm and moist from inside with a distinct pepper aroma. Let them cool.
Pound/grind coarsely with sugar. Eat 2-3 tsp at a time two times a day and see eye strain disappear!
