That one word in our macronutrients we want to get rid of
Unfortunately everyone believes all fat is BAD whereas only certain types of them are.
Heating oils to high heat renders cooking oils toxic and potentially carcinogenic, thus cooking oils are a cause of concern.
☀️Next comes reusing oils heated once, this is inflammatory can raise the risk of liver inflammation, heart disease, type II diabetes and intestinal inflammation. THIS IS A BIG ISSUE IN INDIAN KITCHENS!!
☀️So if you are planning to cut down on fat, reduce cooking oil, cook in water, steam or roast, add unsaturated cold pressed oils as dressings, or ghee or milk cream or nuts for fat content.
☀️Good fats reduce bad fat in body reduce inflammation levels and repair the gut. So a ratio of 1:1 Omega-3 and Omega-6 fats is an ideal situation.
☀️Good oils to use are Mustard oil and Extra Virgin Olive oil. Good saturated fats are ghee and unsalted white butter.
☀️Good fats are also present in avocados, dry fruits, flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, but they are not to be heated.
So the next time you want to go on a diet to lose weight or fix your health issues, cut the cooking oil, not the unsaturated fat
