Our bit to protect fauna around us!

Can we do things at individual level to protect environment. Yes certainly, seemingly trivial actions go a long way.
Going for a morning walk, pack in things for small creatures that need our support. With growing urbanization and sprawling concrete jungles, creatures like ants, bugs, bees, squirrels, birds have been pushed to the brink. We can begin small, and show some kindness, there is no need to make big presentations and protests for this cause.
Things to pack in:
a liter of water to put in bird bath/pitcher;
a small packet of Parle-G for the dogs and squirrels;
dalia/birdfeed/corn/maize for birds, and
some flour or grains for the ants
you could carry leftover bread and vegetable and fruit peels for the roadside cow too.
The forest park I go to has a place where everyone puts feed and water for birds, on the way is an ant colony and also a tree around which squirrels gather! There aren’t any cows so I let that bit be.
I really love the dog at the park, an intelligent being, he wags his tail and goes around the park greeting visitors and leaves when park closes!
And yes birds make a merry noise when there is food, calling and sharing with their brethren.
Small joys give immense happiness! They also remind me of my father would would religiously put aside all fruit/vegetable peels and chapatti for the cows, rice left after milling for birds, flour leftover after sifting for ants and any biscuits/bread etc. for dogs and would go out and feed them every morning and evening, AH! wisdom of our elders, contributing to environment at minute levels.
