The strange times that we are living in has made us turn chefs!
Kachoris are a popular snack and are served with a sweet tamarind chutney.
I made this kachori with leftover dal, evaporated the water from it, added pounded and roasted masala mix of aniseeds, cloves, cumin, coriander, peppers and cardamom. Kneaded the flour with some salt, turmeric and ghee added to flour. Roll out in small puris and stuff it, fry in a light olive oil. For tamarind chutney wash and soak tamarind, jaggery and a few deseeded dates. Heat this, cool, remove seeds if any, add salt, chilly and cumin powder, grind and strain to get a rich and thick chutney.
